Snap
Privacy policy and support
Effective September 30, 2026What Snap does
Snap is a Chrome extension by Infinity labs. It saves screenshots you explicitly request into a local, ordered flow. Starting a flow, navigating, scrolling, and clicking on a website do not automatically save screenshots.
Information handled on your device
- Screenshots of the visible area, a selected rectangle, or the full vertical document of your chosen browser tab, only when you request a Snap or use the capture shortcut. Full page mode scrolls the document to capture off-screen content and temporarily inspects layout and positioning to stitch images.
- The captured page's title and URL origin/path, capture time, step order, and flow names and notes you enter. URL query strings and fragments are excluded from saved URL metadata; they may still be visible in screenshot content or page titles.
- Temporary session information, including the selected tab/window identifiers, site origin, capture state, and step count.
Screenshots may contain personal information, communications, financial or health information, or credentials visible on the page. Snap does not automatically redact screenshots. Review the page before capturing and review exports before sharing. It does not separately read website form values, cookies, passwords, or browsing history. Snap detects keyboard shortcuts to operate its controls. It does not log or transmit your website typing; text you intentionally enter into Snap, such as names, notes, and annotations, is saved locally as described above.
Purpose and storage
This information is used only to capture, organize, review, and export your flows. Saved flows are stored in IndexedDB within the extension's local Chrome profile. Screenshot content, page titles and saved URLs, notes, and flow names are encrypted with AES-GCM using a non-exportable key stored in the same profile. Other operational metadata, such as counts, identifiers, timestamps, and step order, is not encrypted by the extension.
This is not a password-protected vault. Someone able to use your browser profile or a compromised device may access your flows. Protect your device and browser profile. Exported PNGs, ZIPs, JSON files, and PDFs are not encrypted by Snap.
Annotations and original captures
Step annotations, including text, arrows, rectangles, and pixelation regions, are stored with the step and encrypted locally. Older unencrypted annotation records are migrated on startup. Annotation edits are non-destructive: the original screenshot remains stored, even when you cover an area with pixelation. Image exports include your annotations. Pixelation is a visual effect, not a guarantee that sensitive information cannot be inferred. Avoid capturing secrets and review exports before sharing.
No uploads or tracking
The extension does not upload screenshots or flow data to Infinity labs or another server. It has no analytics, advertising, tracking, AI processing, remote executable code, or cloud sync. Your data is not sold or used for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions. Exporting saves files through your browser; any later sharing is your choice.
Limited Use
Snap's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Flows remain locally until you delete them, remove the extension, clear its storage, or lose the browser profile. Removing an individual step hides it and is reversible; deleting a flow permanently removes its stored steps and notes after confirmation. There is no time-based automatic deletion. Local storage is subject to browser quotas and device conditions; export important flows. Deleted local flows cannot be recovered by Infinity labs. Files you export remain separately on your computer until you delete them.
Clipboard and preferences
Copy to Figma writes an SVG containing the chosen flow's images to your system clipboard after you click the button. Snap does not read your clipboard or connect to your Figma account. Clipboard content is not encrypted by Snap; other apps and system clipboard history or synchronization features may retain it. Pasting into Figma is your choice and is subject to Figma's data practices. Appearance and sidebar preferences are saved locally in Chrome.
Permissions
- activeTab: temporary access to the tab you explicitly choose, including screenshot capture and its title/URL.
- scripting: displays the floating toolbar and selection overlay, and runs full-page capture helpers that inspect layout, scroll, and temporarily adjust fixed/sticky elements before restoring the page.
- storage: maintains capture-session state and appearance preferences locally within Chrome.
Snap does not request permanent access to every website. A new site may require you to reopen the extension to grant access. Browser-internal and incognito pages are excluded by the extension.
Support messages and this page
If you email support, Infinity labs receives your email address and the information or attachments you choose to send. Those messages are handled through Gmail to respond to your request, not for advertising. Do not send sensitive screenshots unless necessary. You may request deletion of support correspondence by email, subject to any applicable retention obligations. This policy page does not include analytics or tracking scripts; the hosting provider may process standard network information needed to serve the page.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the extension's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material new permissions or data handling will be disclosed before use where required.

For a capture issue, include your Chrome version, extension version, and what happened. A screenshot is optional; remove sensitive content before sending it. Up to 120 steps or approximately 200 MB of image data per flow, subject to available storage. Full page capture is limited to 30 viewport tiles, 30,000 pixels in height, and 64 million output pixels. Dynamic pages or nested scroll areas may require visible-area or selected-area capture.
